First is to promote and assist research in natural sciences and to advise the council stakeholders about matters related to such research.
Who are the Decision Makers at NSERC?
NSERC consists of a council of 18 Canidians and 1 president. The grants are awarded to applicants who meet the council. The selection of scholars is done based on peer review. The council is advised by various advisory and standing committees during the peer review process.
