The Cambridge review committee takes a number of variables into account before determining the final list because there are so many applications received for each session. All applicants are evaluated on a range of criteria and those who do well are admitted to the programme. As a result, with a 20.8% acceptance rate, it has the second-lowest rate in the United Kingdom. In other words, out of a group of 22,000 applications, only 4,200 pupils get accepted.

London School of Economics

Acceptance Rate: 21.9%

The London School of Economics, also known as the LSE, was formed in 1985 and began offering degree programmes in 1901 as part of the University of London. This Westminster-based institution has approximately 11,000 students enrolled in various programmes, the vast majority of whom are from countries other than the United Kingdom. It has accepted students from over 155 countries, making it one of the region’s most ethnically diverse colleges.
