DAAD Scholarships – Germany


Studying in Germany today has become a priority for a number of international students, thanks to the DAAD scholarships. The DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) Scholarship in Germany is the largest funding organisation in the world for international students from developing countries. The main purpose of this scholarship is to create future leaders and bridge gaps between countries. As one of the most prestigious scholarships in the world, they are applicable only to those candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Only those students who wish to complete a full-time course of study with mandatory attendance from a German university can apply for this scholarship.
  • The applicant should have completed their undergraduate level of study in not more than the last six years.
  • At least 2 years of proven work experience is required.
  • If you wish to study in Germany for a short period of 6 months, it is mandatory for you to be present in your country of residence at the time of application.
  • If you wish to study in Germany for more than 6 months, your previous degree must be obtained from your home degree.

Since they are fully funded scholarships, the amount is contributed towards tuition, living expenses, health, and travel. The monthly stipend varies between 850 euros to 1200 euros depending upon the type of degree you wish to pursue. Free on-campus accommodations will be provided under this scholarship program.
