Chevening Scholarships

This is the UK Government’s scholarship program that offers scholarships to international students including India. The award is granted to bright students and outstanding professionals for a one year Master’s degree in the UK. Chevening understands the importance of scholarships for International students 

Are You Eligible For Chevening Scholarships?

You are eligible to apply for a Chevening scholarship if you are a citizen of a Chevening eligible country. You must complete an undergraduate degree from a recognised university to be eligible for a Master’s scholarship with Chevening. Gaining a degree is not enough, you must also score a minimum of 2:1 or equivalent in your previous years of study. Moreover, you need to present evidence  of being accepted (unconditional offer letter or letter of acceptance) into a UK University while applying for this scholarship. In addition, you are required to have a minimum of 2 years of work experience. 

However, you are not eligible to apply for this scholarship if you hold a dual citizenship and are applying from Hong Kong. You’re not eligible if you are a former employee or the relative of a former employee of Her Majesty’s Government.

Commonwealth Scholarships 

Funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office for students from developing countries. Commonwealth scholarships for Indian students to study in the UK and pursue their tertiary studies. The scholarships are offered under six themes:

Are You Eligible For Commonwealth Scholarships? 

You are eligible to apply if you are a citizen or a permanent resident of a Commonwealth Country. Secondly, you should have an undergraduate degree with a 2:1 or equivalent. While submitting your application, do not forget to mention why you need this scholarship and how you intend to use the scholarship for your future. 

The Documents You Need To Keep Ready: 

You will be required to upload a scanned copy of your passport, academic transcript, existing degree or certificate, two references and the unconditional offer letter from the university you’ll be studying in.

In partnership with the British Council, CWIT has been providing scholarships for Indian students to study in the UK

The scholarship helps students from India to pursue their Doctoral, Research, Offers long term grants and provides artist residencies.

Are You Eligible For CWIT?

To be an eligible candidate, you should be an Indian citizen living in India. Only students between the ages of 28-38 can apply for the scholarship. You should not have received a CWIT scholarship in the last 5 years. Additionally, you should be a degree holder.
