  1. FirsRand Foundation Scholarship: For postgraduate studies in any field at any international university. Each scholarship will be valued at R900,000.
  1. FirstRand Laurie Dippenaar scholarship: For postgraduate studies in any field at any international university. Each scholarship will be valued at R900,000.
  1. FirstRand Oxford African Studies scholarship to the University of Oxford: If a scholarship for MSc in African Studies at University of Oxford. Only one student will benefit from this scholarship for the whole academic year.
  1. FirstRand FNB Fund Postgraduate Education Scholarship: A postgraduate qualification in Education at any university. The scholarship is valued at R900,000. 
  1. FirstRand FNB South African Scholarships to Study Abroad: For a Master’s degree in Education at Oxford University. This scholarship provides full funding to one student per year.

To apply for this scholarship, you should be a South African citizen. Students who are below the age of 35 will be considered for this scholarship first. You must be willing to study as a postgraduate Master’s level to apply for this scholarship. Additionally, you already need to provide evidence of enrolment while you submit your scholarship form. This is a merit based scholarship, you need to hold an excellent academic record for all years of matriculation. To receive this award, you must agree to serve the South African community after completing your studies. 

Rhodes South African Scholarships To Study Abroad

This is one of the oldest scholarship programmes in the world and one of the most prestigious as well. The program is administered by the Oxford Trust and selects 100 scholars each year who are pursuing their post graduation at University of Oxford. These students are offered fully funded scholarships depending on their academic records. 

The Rhodes Scholarship is specifically offered to students who have demonstrated leadership in the past and show a potential to become value-driven. 

To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to show evidence of academic excellence. You must hold a minimum GPA of 3.7 out of 4.0 or an equivalent. All-rounder students who have used their time, resources and skills in contributing to the society as well as have an excellent extracurricular record will be considered for this scholarship. 

Scholars are considered for this award with disregard to their financial need. In order to create an unbiased cohort that is culturally diverse, you will be considered for this scholarship without taking into account your race, ethnic background, gender disability or other distinction.

Africa London Nagasaki (ALN) Fund

The Africa London Nagasaki (ALN) Fund was created to support African Scientists in their research to curb infectious diseases in South Africa. The scholarship aims to fund candidates who are willing to pursue their Master’s in Tropical Medicine at the School of Tropical Medicine and Global Health (TMGH) in Nagasaki Japan. The scholarship covers students who are willing to study a full time or a part time course in Africa, at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). 

Each year four scientists are awarded with a maximum amount of $50,000 to cover their tuition fees, living and travel expenses.  However, you must agree to submit a formal report on your learning experience and application of skills at the end of the course at Nagasaki University. 

Trevor Prescott Memorial Study Abroad Scholarships In South Africa

Provided by the Freemason Foundation, to help students who need financial assistance to complete their tertiary studies. The scholarship is available to Australian citizens in South Africa. With an aim to support and encourage the participation of youth in the community. 

To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to be an Australian citizen who is willing to study in South Africa or already residing in South Africa. Students between the age of 20 and 30 will be highly considered for this award. You must demonstrate a need for financial assistance in your scholarship application. In addition to that, you must hold excellent academic records. 

Before applying for this scholarship, you need to prepare and submit a thesis proposal that includes milestones, time periods and targets. You must also submit all previous academic transcripts, work experience records and details related to academic and professional life. 

All Trevor Prescott Scholars will receive upto AUD 20,000.
