Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat invites applications for AAU Jorhat Department of Agricultural Biotechnology Junior Research Fellowship 2020 from MSc degree holders. The fellowship is a temporary post for project titled, “Engineering of CRISPR/Cas9-mediated Potato Virus Y (PVY) resistance in Bhut jolokia (Capsicum chinense)". The selected fellows will receive a consolidated fellowship of INR 25,000 plus HRA for the first two years and INR 28,000 plus HRA for the third year.

To be eligible, an applicant must:

• Hold an MSc degree in Agril. Biotechnology/Biotechnology/ Life Sciences (Candidates having hands-on experience in the area of molecular biology/ plant-tissue culture will be preferred)
• Be NET/GATE/BET/BINC qualified
