The American University in Cairo (AUC) offers financial assistance to study abroad students, who are visiting AUC from their home institutions, as well as international non-degree students who enrol in AUC courses but are not currently pursuing a degree.

Eligibility
- Applicants must be enrolled in a University in the United States.
- Applicants must pursue Middle East studies, political science or history at the American University of Cairo for one semester.
- Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Applicants must have achieved at least 12 credit hours during the semester of the award.
- Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence.
How To Apply
First, submit a study abroad or non-degree admission application to AUC. Click here for the application forms and instructions. If you are applying to the intensive Arabic program (semester or summer), complete the application under “Arabic Language Institute.”
After submitting your application form, you will receive an acknowledgment email that includes your AUC ID number. With your ID number and birthdate, set up an AUC banner account here.
Log in to banner and select “Financial Aid and Scholarships Applications” to complete your scholarship application and upload the required documents.
