Scholarship Overview

The Dr Abdul Kalam International Undergraduate Scholarship- Engineering Honours & Information Technology was instituted in memory of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the 11th President of India. This scholarship programme is awarded by The University of Sydney and designed to support outstanding students to develop as future leaders. Due to Dr. Kalam’s remarkable contribution to his profession, he was  presented with an Honorary Doctorate of Engineering from the University of Sydney in 2011. This scholarship is applicable for the following courses in The University of Sydney in Australia

  • Bachelor of Advanced Computing
  • Bachelor of Engineering Honours (Flexible First Year)
  • Bachelor of Engineering Honours and Bachelor of Commerce

This scholarship can be used only towards the tuition fees of The University of Sydney. 

Shortlisting Process

The selection of scholars for the Dr Abdul Kalam International Undergraduate Scholarship- Engineering Honours & Information Technology involves a multi-stage process. The scholars will be selected after a thorough assessment of all the applicants. 

Terms and Conditions

The continuation of the scholarship depends on the good academic performance of the scholars in the examinations conducted by their respective universities.

Renewal cases of stipend holders who are not promoted to the next year will not be considered for further renewal.

 

Eligibility

  • Applicants must have passed senior secondary qualification equivalent to an ATAR of at least 98.
  • Applicants must have an unconditional offer to study an undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Engineering.
  • Applicants must start their degree in the semester immediately following the award of this scholarship.
