Scholarship Overview

Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) are inviting applications for ICAR-IARI Division of Genetics Project Associateship/Junior Research Fellowship 2020 from master’s degree holders. The fellowship is meant for a DBT funded research project, “Germplasm characterization and trait discovery in wheat using genomics approaches and its integration for improving climate resilience, productivity and nutritional quality”. The selected fellows will receive INR 31,000 per month plus 24% HRA for year 1 and year 2 and INR 35,000 plus 24% HRA from 3rd year onwards.

Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must-

  • Not be more than 35 years of age
  • Hold a Master’s degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Genetics and Plant Breeding, OR
  • Hold a postgraduate degree in basic sciences selected through National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE or any other national level examination
