Scholarship Overview

Indian Institute of Technology, Patna invites applications for IIT Patna SERB Department of Mechanical Engineering Junior Research Fellowship 2021 from MTech/ME/MS/BTech/BE degree holders. The fellowship is meant for the project titled, "JRF with provision to register in PhD". The selected candidate will receive a consolidated fellowship of INR 31,000 per month plus HRA as per GoI rule for the first two years and INR 35,000 per month plus HRA as per GoI rule for the third year subject to satisfactory performance.

Terms and Conditions

  • The email MUST include the scanned/pdf copy of the duly filled application form (see attached word document) with the applicant’s signature.

Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must:

  • Not exceed 28 years of age (for BE/BTech/MSc degree holders) and 32 years of age (for ME/MTech/MS degree holders)
  • Hold an MTech/ME/MS/BTech/BE or related specialization with a valid GATE score

A thesis with mechanical testing or material characterization will be preferred.
