Eligibility

  • The scholarship is open Australian nationals.
  • Must be an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person.
  • He/She must be a commencing student enrolled for the first time at Deakin University.
  • The applicant must be pursuing their undergraduate bachelor degree in Trimester 2 2016 in a Commonwealth supported place.
  • He/She must be enrolled in a full-time course study.
  • Must not be holding a bachelor's degree or higher-level award.
  • The applicant must not have received payment for an IAS.
  • Must not be in receipt of a means-tested Centrelink benefit.
  • Must be willing to relocate from a regional or remote area.

How To Apply

As part of the application process, you will also be required to upload current supporting documentation.

The supporting documentation required includes evidence of:

  • your financial hardship (if applicable)
  • your medical condition or disability (if applicable).

Make sure you choose the correct document type when you upload your documents as it will make a difference. If your documents are uploaded into the incorrect type they will not be considered when assessing your application. Remember it is quality, not quantity, which you need to provide. Aim to provide documents which are current, relevant and concise.
