Scholarship Overview

Monash International Scholarship For Excellence is awarded by Monash University. This scholarship is offered to the 10 highest-achieving international students studying Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate in Australia. If the student has an ATAR of 98.00+ or equivalent, they will be automatically considered for this scholarship when they apply for a Monash undergraduate degree through VTAC. This scholarship is applicable for the following courses in Monash University in Australia - 

  • Bachelor of Computer Science
  • Bachelor of Information Technology and Systems
  • Bachelor of Software Engineering (Honours)
  • Bachelor of Information Technology
  • Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering (Honours)
  • Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering

Shortlisting Process

The selection of scholars for the Monash International Scholarship For Excellence involves a multi-stage process. The scholars will be selected after a thorough assessment of all the applicants. Preference will be given to following candidates:

  • Based on academic achievement and offered to the highest-achieving students.
  • ATAR of 98.00+ or equivalent.

Terms and Conditions

The continuation of the scholarship depends on the good academic performance of the scholars in the examinations conducted by their respective universities.

Renewal cases of stipend holders who are not promoted to the next year will not be considered for further renewal.

 

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be an international student.
  • Current Year 12 or International Baccalaureate in Australia.
  • Intending to enroll in an undergraduate degree at a Monash campus in Australia.
  • TOEFL with a minimum score of 79 with writing: 21, Listening: 12, Reading: 13 and Speaking: 18.
  • IELTS with a minimum score of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0.
  • PTE with a minimum score of 58 with minimum Communicative skills scores of 50.
  • To retain this scholarship the applicant must:
    • You must maintain a distinction average (70% or above) each semester.
    • You must remain enrolled as an international student.

How To Apply

 

Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship when they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. No separate application is needed.
