  • Sociology Scholarship at University of Surrey 2020 offers two scholarships worth up to GBP 3,000, specifically for postgraduate taught students applying to study criminology or social research methods courses for the 2020/21 academic year.

Eligibility

  • To be automatically considered for the sociology scholarship 2020, you will need to apply to study any of the following courses before 26 June 2020,
    • Social Research Methods MSc 
    • Criminology MSc
    • Criminology (Cybercrime and Cybersecurity) MSc
    • Criminology (Corporate Crime and Corporate Responsibility) MSc
  • Should be a self-funded UK/EU student with an IELTS score of 7.0 overall with 6.0 in each element

How To Apply

You will automatically be considered for the scholarship competition if you meet the eligibility criteria listed previously.

Eligible applications will be assessed on grounds of academic merit and the written information provided with the standard University application form.

Applications will be evaluated by a committee comprising postgraduate programme directors and the head of department or a nominated deputy.

The scholarship will be paid in the form of a fee remission of the appropriate amount, and will be open to both home and overseas students. Part-time students will be eligible to apply and, if successful, will receive a scholarship which is reduced pro-rata but may be continued for a second year of study subject to successful completion of the first year.
