The Government of Kerala invites applications from first-year graduate and post-graduate students of Kerala for State Merit Scholarship (SMS), Kerala 2020-21. The scholarship aims to support the education of needy students. Selected 300 graduate students will receive INR 1,250 per annum whereas 150 post-graduate students will receive INR 1,500 per annum under this scholarship scheme.

• INR 1,500 per annum to 150 postgraduate students 

Selection of the candidates will be based on their academic merit.

To be eligible, an applicant must:

• Be a first-year student of undergraduate or postgraduate course in Govt/ Aided colleges or University Departments
• Be a native of Kerala 
• Have scored 50% or above in the qualifying examination.
• Have an annual family income not exceeding INR 1 lakh
