Scholarship Overview

The University of Sydney, Australia invites applications for University of Sydney Anthony and Sharon Lee Foundation Jazz UG and PG Scholarship 2021 from Jazz students. The aim of this scholarship is to support the Jazz students in the financial need at the University of Sydney Selected students will get up to AUD 25,000.

Selection will be based on eligibility criteria and academic achievement.

Terms and Conditions

  • For a postgraduate research applicant, the Scholarship may also be awarded on the basis of research achievements and potential.
  • Applicants may be required to attend an interview.
  • The Scholarship will be awarded by the Dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
  • A successful postgraduate applicant will receive $25,000 per annum for up to 1.5 years, subject to satisfactory academic performance.
  • For a coursework student, the annual payment will be made in two equal installments after the census date of each semester.
  • For a postgraduate research student, the value of the Scholarship will be paid as a stipend on a fortnightly basis.
  • Deferral of the Scholarship is not permitted.
  • Transfer of the Scholarship, within the same faculty, may be permitted with the written approval of the Dean.
  • The Scholarship will be offered subject to the availability of funds.

Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must:

  • Be enrolled or have an unconditional offer to study full-time coursework or research degree at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music
  • Be studying jazz
  • Be in financial need

How To Apply

  • No application is required for the award as a merit scholarship. Students will be automatically considered as part of their admission application to the Conservatorium.
