When it comes to searching for and applying for work placements, the University of Manchester Business School placements and careers teams provide the following assistance:

  • Opportunities for advertising placement in weekly e-bulletins
  • Training sessions for interview techniques, CV clinics, dummy assessment centres, and psychometric testing
  • Career fairs and drop-in sessions with employers

You do not need to obtain your placement through the weekly e-bulletins given by the Careers Service in order to complete an international work placement with the university. They do allow the students to search for their own positions. If you choose to find your own placement, keep in mind that the School must approve it to make sure the employment role is consistent with your course of study and learning objectives.
