The University of Melbourne is a higher education institution in Melbourne, Australia. It is the second oldest university in the country and the oldest in the state of Victoria, having been founded in 1853. The main site is in the Melbourne suburb of Parkville, and there are numerous smaller campuses spread around Victoria. These include campuses at Southbank, Burnley, Creswick, Dookie, Shepparton, and Werribee.
