About

Western Sydney University—previously known as the University of Western Sydney, a renowned public university in Greater Western Sydney, Australia offers a wide range of academic programmes. A network of federated universities was formed as a result of the merger of two former institutions. As per the instructions of the State Legislature, the institution began operations on January 1st, 1989. The Macarthur Institute of Higher Education joined the university in the same year. 

 

In 2015, the university was renamed to its present name.
