About

Ara Institute of Canterbury is New Zealand's largest vocational training institution on the South Island. It is a thriving, dynamic, and government-funded tertiary foundation that provides world-class tertiary-level training education throughout Canterbury and Waitaki. It was established in 2016 by the merger of education providers CPIT and Aoraki Polytechnic, bringing together two renowned associations and over 200 years of collective achievement and experience.

Together, the university is committed to providing each student with the business-related knowledge, skills, and experience required to obtain and exceed expectations in their desired position.

 

Its learning models and course content are constantly evolving in response to industry and local needs. Ara Institute of Canterbury has six campuses across New Zealand's South Island. It provides nationally recognised and exceptional certificates, diplomas, degrees, and graduate degrees.
