About

The University of Canterbury (UC), founded in 1873, is a distinguished university in New Zealand, ranked among the top 300 in the world. It has a 5-Star QS rating for its outstanding research and teaching methodologies. Because of its broad student body, UC is an excellent location to meet and interact with individuals from all over the world. A total of 17,299 students are enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctorate programmes. There are around 814 academic faculty members and 1151 staff personnel at the university. International students can also complete their degrees at one of the university's partner institutions in their home country. 

 

There are five colleges at this university: the College of Arts, the College of Engineering, the College of Science, the College of Education, Health and Human Development, and the College of Business and Law. There are also around 35 research institutions. Each of these institutions provides a variety of degree programmes in the arts, commerce, technology, fine arts, sports, and other fields. Student exchange programmes and other global short courses provide an opportunity for students to get international exposure. Canterbury University Entry Requirements

Students with an international degree (from an overseas secondary school or institution) seeking admission to UC must apply for Admission with Academic Equivalent Standing (AES) via myUC. Students must also apply for admission to their desired qualifications. Students may opt to combine two bachelor's degrees and graduate at the same time. Admission to bachelor's programmes is determined by the educational system of the applicant's home country. The following are the University of Canterbury entry requirements for UG & PG degrees -

Canterbury University Fees

A student must pay tuition costs for each course they enrol in unless they are enrolled in a Special Fees Program, in which case an aggregate amount is charged. Fee bands are allotted to courses based on their subject area. Apart from those on a permitted reciprocal exchange programme (covered by a written exchange agreement) and those enrolled as a PhD student and residing in Aotearoa New Zealand, all overseas students must pay tuition fees at the international rate. The University of Canterbury fees for overseas students, based on one academic year of study (120 points) will range from NZD 28,800 to NZD 45,000 and can go beyond for MBA students.
