You will gain in-depth knowledge of recent advances in the theory and practice of Robotics, Machine Learning, Image Processing, Human-Machine Teaming, Communication, and Control.

The programme is suited for new graduates and Engineering professionals who want to advance their understanding of the field and are interested in pursuing a career in one of the emerging application areas related to Systems Autonomy and Artificial Intelligence.

Duration:
 

  • Full-time: 12 months

  • Part-time: 24 months (up to 28 months)
     

Modules:
 

  • Core modules: 9

 

Modules
 

Full-time: attend all the taught modules during terms one and two, and complete your dissertation project within the 12-month period of the degree.

 

Part-time: attend half the modules in a first 12-month period, followed by the other half the next year and complete your dissertation project in the second year.

UK

The programme is designed for those who have a second class degree, as minimum, in engineering and computer science. Applicants with a background in mathematics or life sciences with good mathematical skills (in linear algebra and calculus in particular) will also be considered.

 

Competence in an object-oriented programming language (preferable Python) is desirable.
 

English language requirements
 

If you are an applicant whose first language is not English, the following qualifications are required:

 

  • IELTS: 6.5 (minimum of 6.0 in all four components)

  • TOEFL 92 (minimum of 20 in Listening, Reading and Speaking, and 22 in Writing)
