About

The New York Film Academy - School of Film and Acting (NYFA) is a private film school with locations in New York City, Miami, and Los Angeles. Jerry Sherlock, a former producer of movies, television shows, and plays, established the New York Film Academy in 1992. Five campuses and numerous international destination programs are available through NYFA. New performing arts students can receive experiential learning at 10 more locations run by NYFA. The New York Cinema Academy provides 26 undergraduate and graduate degrees in media, acting, and film.

 

The urban campus in New York City provides short-term seminars, Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degrees, and Conservatory programs lasting a year or two. Both, acting for film and filmmaking, are available as bachelor's degrees. The campus has the facilities needed for teaching students acting and other technical facets of filmmaking, including dubbing rooms, performance spaces, makeup rooms, etc. It is worth noting that the New York Film Academy acceptance rate stands at 100% making it a great choice for national as well as international students

Admission

New York Film Academy Entry Requirements

A variety of performing and visual arts disciplines are available for enrollment at the New York Film Academy. Among other things, the institute provides courses in acting, filmmaking, documentary acting, game creation, and graphic design. Fall, spring, and summer semester applications are being accepted (rolling admissions). New York Film Academy Fees
