About

The private New York Institute of Technology was established in 1955. The campus is 215 acres in size, has a total undergraduate enrolment of 3,473 (fall 2020), and is located in a suburban area. The academic calendar is based on semesters. Regional Universities North is where the New York Institute of Technology is ranked in the 2022 edition of Best Colleges. NYIT describes itself as a global private institution and has two campuses in New York and three elsewhere. The school has campuses in Manhattan and Old Westbury on Long Island, both of which are in the city of New York. The university also has campuses in Vancouver, Canada; Nanjing, China; Abu Dhabi, and the United Arab Emirates. For undergraduates, each New York campus offers housing options, student groups, fraternities and sororities. Some majors are available at both of the New York University campuses, while others are unique to Manhattan or Old Westbury.

 

All of the programmes offered by New York Tech's seven schools and colleges, which cover a wide range of academic fields, including engineering, incorporate technology, computer science, cybersecurity, data science, communications and marketing, biology, health and medicine, business, biomedical studies, and more. Five schools and two colleges make up the New York Institute of Technology, all of which place a strong emphasis on technology and applied scientific research. When it comes to subject rankings, New York Tech's business programme has received high marks. As the first state and federally financed Economic Development Project on Long Island, New York Tech was the first educational institution in New York to obtain state funds for a technology grant to spur economic growth in the state under Governor Andrew Cuomo. The Harry Schure Hall building at NYIT-Long Island houses the 8,000-square-foot Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation Center (ETIC), which is virtually connected to NYIT-New York City.

New York Institute of Technology Entry Requirements

The New York Institute of Technology entry requirements differ from course to course. International applicants must have a GPA of at least 3.2 and a TOEFL score of at least 79 in order to be considered for admission to New York Tech.  We have listed down the eligibility requirements for B.S below, check it out!

  • Copies of all high school records, including any college-level coursework. You'll need your midterm and final grades. You must have all final, official transcripts before the start of your first semester
  • Examination Preferences: New first-year applicants to the New York Institute of Technology may elect to submit their application without standardised test results in order to be evaluated for admission.
