About

Pratt Institute is a private university in New York that was founded in 1887. It was founded by American industrialist Charles Pratt with the goal of providing formal education in architecture, engineering, and fine arts. The Middle States Commission on Higher Education has accredited it. The American Collegiate Athletic Association and the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference are both affiliated with the university. The university's main campus is located in Brooklyn on 25 acres next to Brooklyn Tech Triangle in the city's Clinton Hill neighbourhood.

The site features a variety of buildings with amazing architecture, as well as pathways, parking areas, and green spaces. The majority of the buildings on campus were constructed prior to World War II and are historically significant. The main university building is a six-story Romanesque Revival structure that houses administrative offices, classrooms, and art and design studios. To ensure that students have an excellent learning experience, the university provides cutting-edge academic, administrative, and support facilities.

Beyond the Pratt campuses in Brooklyn and Manhattan, New York City, one of the multiracial epicentres of the arts, culture, design, and commerce, offers Pratt students an exceptional learning environment. It currently has 4,875 students, including 3,483 undergraduates and 1,392 postgraduates from 47 states in the United States and 78 countries around the world.

Pratt institute aims to instil aesthetic judgement, professional knowledge, teamwork skills, and technical expertise in all of its graduates. A Pratt education combines theory and creative application with a strong foundation in the liberal arts and sciences to prepare graduates to become leaders in their fields. The institute enrols a wide range of exceptionally gifted and committed students, pushing them to reach their full potential. The Institute also offers eight certificate programmes, as well as over twenty study abroad and international exchange programmes.
