- Newcastle University is pleased to offer 13 Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship awards for outstanding applicants who apply to commence full-time undergraduate studies

This scholarship is applicable for the following courses in Newcastle University in UK
- BEng Honours in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- BSc Honours in Computer Science
- Scholarships are offered to all undergraduate program applicants
Application closing dates
- 25 March 2021 - Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania, Turkey, the USA
- 29 April 2021 - Malaysia
- 27 May 2021 - India
Additional Information
- Eligible candidates will be assessed according to evidence of academic ability, evidence of commitment to studies, and quality of the application
- The University’s decision on all Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship awards and interpretation of rules and regulations shall be final: appeals will not be considered
- The University reserves the right to vary all or any scholarship awards and regulations at its sole discretion
- The following applicants are not eligible to receive Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship awards:
- Applicants for MB BS and BDS courses
- Applicants applying through Clearing
- Current students, registered at the University, who have already commenced their undergraduate degree at the time of the award
- Awards cannot be made retrospectively
- Applicants initially assessed as international for fee purposes but whose fees change to “home”
- Students repeating courses
- Study abroad and exchange students
Eligibility
50% tuition fees
To be considered for the 50% scholarships applicants must:
- be a national of one of the following countries: India, Kenya, Malaysia, South Africa, Tanzania, Turkey, USA
- be assessed as international for fee purposes
- hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city-centre campus for the 2021/22 academic year
- already have or expect to receive a minimum of ABB at A Level or equivalent
Eligible candidates will be assessed according to evidence of academic ability, evidence of commitment to studies and quality of application.
100% tuition fees
To be considered for the 100% scholarships applicants must:
- be a national of one of the following countries: USA, India
- be assessed as international for fee purposes
- hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city-centre campus for the 2021/22 academic year
Eligible candidates will be assessed according to evidence of academic ability, evidence of commitment to studies and quality of application.

12 Required (minimum score 75.0%)
- Applicant must have passed the 12th standard with a 75% average as comparable to ABB at A-Level
- Applicant must hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate degree program at the University’s Newcastle city-center campus for the 2021/22 academic year
