Scholarship Overview

Department for the Welfare of SC/ST/OBC, Government of NCT of Delhi invites applications for Post-Matric Scholarship for SC Students, Delhi 2021 from scheduled caste students. This scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to eligible students so that they can pursue their further studies at post matriculation/ post-secondary (college/University) levels within India. Selected students will receive a scholarship of up to INR 1,200 per month for 10 months.

Benefits

Degree and post-graduate level courses and research studies

  • Day scholar – INR 550 per month
  • Hostellers – INR 1,200 per month

Professional courses leading to degree/diploma/certificate 

  • Day scholar – INR 530 per month 
  • Hostellers – INR 820 per month

All other courses leading to a graduate degree 

  • Day scholar – INR 300 per month
  • Hostellers – INR 570 per month

All post-matriculation level non-degree courses

  • Day scholar – INR 230 per month
  • Hostellers – INR 380 per month

  • Caste Certificate 
  • Income certificate 
  • Bank details of students (Aadhar seeded) 
  • A copy of certificate, Diploma, Degree etc. in respect of all previous examinations passed
  • Fee structure
  • Fee receipt 
  • Verification letter (for outside Delhi application)

Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must:

  • Belong to SC category
  • Be studying at post matriculation/ post-secondary (college/University) levels from govt. recognized institutions within India 
  • Have parents/guardian’s income not exceeding than INR 2.5 lakh per annum 
  • Not be receiving any other centrally/state-funded scholarship
