The University of Melbourne invites applications for the University of Melbourne, Tom Benson Bursary 2021. This Bursary aims to support students with a physical disability who are in financial need and enrolled in a medical course at the University of Melbourne.  Approximately two scholars will get support from the grant under this bursary.  Selected candidates will get financial support of up to AUD 2,000 to support their studies at the University of Melbourne.

Selection Criteria

The Selection Committee will evaluate the applications based on the eligibility and financial need of the applicants. The bursary is to assist physically handicapped students enrolled at the university who are deserving of help.

Terms and Conditions

• Applicants must be enrolled as a full-time student in a course at the University of Melbourne.
•  Part-time students may be eligible to receive this Bursary.
• This Bursary cannot be deferred to the following year.
• Applicants must provide a brief report on the benefits of the bursary and permit the University to provide the report, their name and course details to the donor.
• The exact amount of the bursary is determined at the time of offering the award

• Be enrolled in a Medicine, dentistry, health and welfare course at the University of Melbourne
• Provide evidence of the financial need
