The University of Richmond is a private, coeducational university located in Richmond, Virginia, in the United States. It is connected to the Virginia Baptist General Association. The institution houses the School of Arts and Sciences, the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the T.C. Williams School of Law, the E. Claiborne Robins School of Business, and the Jepson School of Leadership Studies. A variety of master's degree programmes are available from graduate and business schools, and the law school also offers a Juris Doctor degree. The institution was first established as Richmond College in 1830. It had to be shut down during the American Civil War but quickly reopened when the fighting was over. In 1989, the Jepson School of Leadership Studies opened its doors as the country's first institution of its kind.

When we talk about the University of Richmond facilities, the new Basketball Practice and Well-Being Centre conveys a strong statement by recognising the links between health, wellness, fitness, and sport. This innovative initiative establishes a comprehensive centre for students that encourages both academic excellence and balanced campus life.
Following recent planning initiatives, VMDO designed a dynamic, hybrid structure that pays homage to the University of Richmond's distinctive collegiate gothic tradition. The project, which is located in the middle of campus between Millhiser Gym and the Weinstein Centre, brings together existing elements while forming vital new connections.
Both campuses of Richmond University have libraries. Depending on the season, they open at different hours, and during busy exam periods, they stay open longer than usual. The libraries have 60,000 books and DVDs, 39,000 e-journals, and 36,000 newspaper/newswire subscriptions available to students. Admission
University of Richmond Entry Requirements
Admission to the University is more competitive, with the University of Richmond's acceptance rate at 31% and a 34.2% early acceptance rate. SAT scores between 1280 and 1460 or an ACT between 30 and 33 are required for admission to the University of Richmond for half of the candidates. However, 25% of accepted applicants obtained scores above these thresholds, while 25% received scores below these thresholds. The University of Richmond has a January 1 application deadline and a $50 application fee.
Minimum Admission Requirements
The minimal University of Richmond entry requirements for entrance are a high school diploma (or a comparable credential) and the successful completion of 16 units of secondary school study. Four units in English, three in college-level mathematics (including Algebra I, II, and Geometry), and at least two each in history, laboratory science, and a second language are the minimum prerequisites (two units of the same language, including American Sign Language). Candidates who weren't able to fulfil these basic requirements are still welcome to apply for admission, but the uni advises them to include a written justification for why they weren't able to do so with their application.
